Fiona is a 2015 bay tobiano draft cross mare standing at 16 hands—big, beautiful, and classy. She is stout built, big enough to carry any size rider, and has been involved in every aspect of ranch life from herding to sorting and doctoring on a daily basis. She has a great handle—slide stops, backs, opens/shuts gates, and tracks a cow. She is not afraid of a mad momma cow or an aggressive bull—she stands her ground. She rides anywhere in the group—front, back, middle, or heads off on her own without a fuss. Fiona is quiet to handle, does all the basics—washing, picking up feet, loading, and easy to groom. She has been ridden in rough country and climbs steep hills, goes patiently down rocky mountainsides, crosses water, bridges, logs, and anything else in your way. She is traffic safe as well. Fiona gets along with other horses when turned out and hasn't caused any fuss. She stands quiet in her stall. From ranch to trail, she is safe and broke—someone is going to get a great riding partner for years to come.
