Bandera is a 2016 black tobiano Spotted Saddle Horse gelding standing at 15.2 hands, built like a tank and suitable for any sized rider. If you're looking for a gelding easy enough for the little ones or enjoyable for yourself, Bandera is your guy. He is as close to a true unicorn as they come—kid-broke, with all the heart in the world. He'll walk on a loose rein all day until asked to pick up, with a nice slow gait that can smoothly travel around 15mph, yet settles right down when asked. Bandera stands for mounting, tacking, bathing, and shoeing. We've shot guns around him and exposed him to all kinds of crazy stuff—there isn't much that bothers him. He has crossed every creek, log, and ditch without hesitation. Perfect for overnight camping, he stands quietly on a picket line or tied to the trailer. Bandera rides perfectly in big groups or out alone, front, middle, or back—he aims to please. He is unphased by farm equipment, ATVs, dirtbikes, side-by-sides, tarps, leaf blowers, and chainsaws.
