Sugar is an elegant mover with that "classy" style. She performs all reining maneuvers with ease and has phenomenal gait transitions. Super easy to spin and has the easiest lead change ever. You can run and stop her blindfolded, and her speed control is spot on. Sugar is the kindest and most honest mare we have owned—she knows her job and is happy to do it. Gentle, safe, and easy for any level of rider, including children and complete beginners. She is very smooth with a great jog and rocking-chair lope on a draped rein. Catch her anywhere, jump on bareback, or saddle her up and go—no worries about anything. Sugar is a total trooper on the trails—confident and steady in all situations. Exposed to lots of different terrains, she's as rock solid as they come. Just point her, and she will go through deep running water, rough and rocky mountains, thick mud and brush, and maneuver around prickly cactus. Sugar is great with gunfire, tarps, dogs, desert wildlife, machinery, and busy traffic. Ridden all over our ranch, she is a great partner inside and outside of the arena. She can cover some ground with her extended trot and is fun across big pastures. She ground ties where you drop a rein and will side pass and bend accordingly to open all the tricky gates. Sugar is super sweet and amazing to handle on the ground—she loves attention and makes your job as an owner fun and easy. Her ears are always forward awaiting your arrival, and she's like having an old ranch gelding around the barn. Good in the pasture with other horses, she stands tied quietly and will trailer nicely next to other horses.
