Pepper is a 2017 bay Quarter Horse gelding standing at 15 hands—hello handsome. Pepper is a super classy, talented gelding with a gentle, kind, and eager-to-please disposition that makes him first class. He is fun to ride and a total sweetheart. Standing 15 hands, Pepper is very balanced and well put together. This elegant moving gelding has a ton of presence in the arena with his glowing dark coat, level top line, and naturally low head set. Pepper has a solid reining foundation and all his maneuvers are pretty impressive, easily earning pluses in the show pen. He has a one-hand neck rein, smooth slow lope, and comfy jog, with fancy spins, effortless lead changes, and big, pretty stops. He is naturally made for reining, ranch riding, and Versatility Classes—the cadence, looks, and mindset to take you all the way. Pepper excels outside the arena as well—very quiet and calm on the trails, exposed to all kinds of activity: loud gunfire, busy highways, tarps, dogs, pigs, camels—you name it, he has probably seen it. A superb partner on the ranch, he knows what a wet saddle pad is all about. He has a ton of natural cow and is fun to use sorting steers, pushing cows pasture to pasture, and will drag anything you dally up. Whether in the show pen or on the trail, he will always make you look good, no matter your task at hand. Pepper will meet you in the pasture and loves attention. He has quiet ground manners and is patient and kind. I think the world of this sweet boy.
