Dillion is a 2017 buckskin Quarter Horse gelding standing at 15.1 hands—when you picture what a cowboy rides, in my mind it's Dillion. This gelding portrays what the American Quarter Horse should look like. Standing 15.1 hands and built like an army tank, this gelding is the real deal. Plus he is America's favorite color, buckskin. Hard to find one that looks like this with a modern day black-type pedigree. Dillion doesn't fall far from the tree—his genetics have played a huge part into the phenomenal gelding he is. Athletic, versatile, and with an outstanding mind, this guy is so intelligent you could seriously teach him anything. He has a solid reining style foundation with fast spins with balance, deep sliding stops, push-button lead changes, and great direction with speed control. Dillion is a gorgeous mover with a bold presence and would make a world champion Ranch Rider. He guides very easy with a great neck rein, flawless gait transitions, very laid back and quiet. Dillion has been started well in the roping arena—loaded with natural cow and great rate. He has plenty of speed and is quiet in the box. Used in the feed yard and out on the ranch, he's the type of gelding the Ranch Foreman would saddle to ride. He makes the job easier and looks so fancy doing it. He has a good ground-covering walk, and his extended trot is ideal for making ground in big country. He ground ties where you drop a rein, side passes to gates, is handy in sorting pens, and can hold anything you are cowboy enough to rope. My favorite thing about Dillion is his huge personality—he's bound to make you laugh with his inquisitive ways and funny nature. He loves attention of all kinds and will literally follow you around like a puppy dog. If a horse could be your best friend, it would be this guy. Dillion is a kind soul—very easy to handle on the ground and have in the barn. Simple and uncomplicated to ride, he's always gentle to saddle and go even with substantial time off. He would fit any level of rider including a complete beginner—safe, tolerant, and consistent. Dillion is accustomed to gunfire, tarps, dogs, wildlife, traffic. He's made lots of outside miles and excels in and out of the arena. One of the funnest horses we have owned.
