Stones is a 2015 dappled gray Quarter Horse gelding standing at 14.1 hands—this little guy is seriously the cutest. Dapples for days stamped on this precious, sweet gelding. Standing 14.1 hands, Stones makes it pretty easy to mount or dismount. He loves all people and wants to please his person—definitely a social butterfly. He will carry and take care of any level of rider, very safe and so gentle. Stones has the most comfortable little jog and the smoothest slow lope on a draped rein. Naturally low-headed, he has the prettiest way of going around the arena. Fun to do reining maneuvers on with great speed control, pretty spins, automatic lead changes, and a long sliding stop—so easy and simple to ride. Stones is a very fluid and elegant mover and would excel in ranch riding and versatility events. Go show him, trail ride, or maybe both—he's an all-around great time in any situation. Stones also pulls the cart, wagon, or anything you hook him to. Accustomed to a 12 ft wagon going down a busy road or cruising the cart around the desert, you can hook him up alone, and he stands quietly and patiently. Safe, confident, and looks absolutely stellar going down the road hooked up—definitely a head-turner. Stones is a blast to trail ride or leisurely cruise down the road—not spooky and fearless alone. He happily goes right where you point him without hesitation. From day one in our program, nothing has fazed him, and he easily adapts to everything we throw his direction. Always quiet to handle on the ground and absolutely no silly business when you ride him. He doesn't have a mean bone in his body and is a happy, willing, and honest partner. He doesn't require consistent riding and can easily handle time off—once a week, once a month, or 6 times a year, he rides the same. Stones is great with other horses and accustomed to dogs, cattle, buffalo, pigs, and wildlife. We have penned roped cattle, and he likes that too. Handy to use all over our ranch, he ground ties where you drop a rein, side passes to open and close gates, goes over bridges, logs, and drags anything you dally to the saddle horn. Stones is a total lover boy and enjoys grooming, baths, and being social. So easy to teach new things and happy to learn, he never says no, and don't let his size fool you—he can do anything the big boys can. Conformationally very balanced and correct, he physically attracts attention to anyone that lays eyes on him, and after you get to know him, you fall in love. Young, older, or anywhere in between, beginner or advanced, Stones will be a soldier—he will go slow and take care of you, but still has all the talent and athleticism if you ask. So much fun wrapped up into this fun-sized package.
