Silver is a 2015 buckskin Quarter Horse mare standing at 15 hands—a very astonishing mare with all the bells and whistles. Silver is easy on the eyes with shape for days, balanced conformation, and a hind end the size of Texas. She is gentle, classy, very well trained, and did I mention, buckskin. Silver has a unique pedigree with top cutting, cowhorse, reining bloodlines. Originally trained in reining, she has the smoothest rocking-chair lope and a jog that you could ride for days. Very comfortable to ride with easy transitions, stylish spins, easy lead change, and deep stop. Silver has been ridden on cows a lot and has a lot of natural cow. Used for sorting, she would make a fun mare to show in Cowhorse boxing or ranch versatility events. Naturally low-headed and an elegant and gorgeous mover with a great extended trot, making a Ranch Rider's dream. She portrays great talent and style in everything she does. Silver is one of the best trail horses I have had the pleasure to ride—she knows where her feet are at all times and is splendid in all types of terrain. Confident alone, she leads a group or is just as happy to trail behind. Exposed to all kinds of wildlife, huge longhorn cattle, dogs, pigs, and camels, Silver is always gentle and rides nicely for any level of rider. Even when ridden inconsistently, she is always the same gentle soul. Accustomed to tarps, machinery, traffic, and gunfire, Silver has a very long mane and tail and enjoys the extra attention of being groomed and pampered. She has a world champion disposition and is a jewel to have around the barn—doesn't have a mean bone in her body and is good to turn out, trailer, and tie next to other horses. She acts as sweet and tolerant as any good old gelding in the barn. We have roped on Silver and used her around the ranch—she easily side passes to gates, ground ties where you drop a rein, and is a fun partner doing anything with cows. Silver is absolutely drop-dead gorgeous with the kindest heart and will be the new barn favorite for her new person.
