Description

Rose is a 2016 bay Swedish Warmblood mare standing at 16.0 hands—SAFE and comfortable all-around warmblood. Rose is one of the nicest Warmbloods I've ever owned. She is super safe, comfortable to ride, and has experience in multiple riding disciplines including dressage, jumpers, eventing, fox hunting, trail riding, and giving beginner lessons. Rose is tolerant and amateur-friendly—perfect for kids and adults learning to ride or an amateur that just needs something safe and quiet. She is a lovely mover and nicely forward without being hot. Comfortable to ride and easy to sit, she has a thicker build and takes up more leg than you would expect. She measures 16h but rides like 16.2h. She loves jumping—point her at it, and she's going over. Rose has schooled 2'6" with scope for higher. She has attended several jumper schooling shows and hunter paces, often being leased out to junior riders and timid adults. She is also amazing on trails, taking several timid riders on trail rides, even riding over highway overpasses around bicycles and traffic. Rose started fox hunting this season and has taken to it like a fish in water. She especially loved the time we got to ride with a whip (galloping, jumping logs, and being right with the hounds). She has received compliments on how nice she is in the hunt field—she could ride in any flight and hunts in only a snaffle. Rose has also been leased out to advanced beginner riders for fox hunts. She truly is one of those horses that just about anyone can enjoy riding. Rose is an angel on the ground—easy to load, stands for mounting, lowers her head and opens her mouth for bridling, stands tied to the trailer, etc. She is an easy keeper and up-to-date on everything with no maintenance or vices. She was barefoot until hunt season started, when she got front shoes for riding on rocky terrain and asphalt.
