Description

Turner is a 2016 dappled gray Quarter Horse gelding standing at 14.3 hands—hard to find one with this much shape, pedigree, and ride. This guy is easy on the eyes. Turner, as we affectionately call him, is very versatile and always a pleasure to ride. He knows the reining maneuvers with pretty spins, lead changes, and a nice sliding stop. He is a pretty mover with a comfortable jog and smooth slow lope on a draped rein. Turner has been successfully shown locally by a youth in Ranch Versatility classes, taken to playdays, and 4-H events. He is happy and willing to do whatever you throw his way—absolutely no silly business about him, simply a fun horse to own. He has gathered huge sections that are mountainous, rocky, and full of cactus, been used in branding pens, and sorted numerous pairs of cattle. No stranger to wet saddle pads and a long day of work, he's a great partner to have all over the ranch. Turner is amazing on the trails and loves to leisurely cruise wherever his rider wants to go. Confident alone and good with a group, nothing bothers or spooks him on the trails. He's happy to go through running rivers, deep mud, navigate around prickly cactus, and is very sure-footed in mountainous terrain. Accustomed to wildlife, dogs, tarps, machinery, and gunfire, Turner lays down with a touch of the finger, and you can climb on him bridle-less and bareback and go whenever your heart desires. He's a sweet, affectionate, and very kind gelding—super easy to catch and just an all-around good boy. Always gentle, quiet, and sane, and doesn't have to be ridden consistently.
