Rosine

Description

Rosine is a stocky-built 2016 black tobiano Paint Horse mare standing at 14.3 hands, around 1200lbs, with some very nice markings. She is trained to lay down for mounting from the ground or dismount from the saddle—a great tool for anyone with knee or hip issues or if you are handicapped. She has been taught all about leg pressure and will ride without a bridle, using a rein around her neck or just your feet to back, spin, turn, side pass both ways, lope, and slide stop. Since owning her, we have thrown everything at her trying to scare her, and I believe she is as close to bombproof as any horse can be. We have had her camping, used her around cows, trail ridden her hundreds of miles, used her to clear new trails while running a chainsaw and cutting tree limbs off her—she is always great. Although she is a mare, she is never marish. She hauls standing directly beside another horse, and even at feeding time, she eats right out of the same trough as her pasture mates and does not bite or kick. We have ponied other horses off her and used her to break colts to lead. Our kids have trail rode her. She has been ridden around farm equipment, ATVs, over large noisy tarps, and with guns shot off her back. No matter where she goes or what she does, Rosine is not spooky acting. Exposed to all kinds of wildlife, she goes anywhere asked. She has many miles in the mountains and has encountered every obstacle possible on the trail—going up or down steep slopes, across deep creeks, over downed trees, and all types of rough terrain while staying sure-footed. She has been ridden in traffic and is very traffic safe around cars, semis, log trucks, and dump trucks. She is one of the friendliest horses you'll find—she will follow you around and even go for a jog with you. She has a great attitude about whatever she is asked to do.
