Boris is a 2015 black tobiano Gypsy Vanner gelding standing at 14.3 hands—ride and drive in fashion with total WOW factor. This handsome gentleman has a long flowing mane past his knees and a gentle soul with the sweetest in-your-pocket personality. He has been ridden both English and Western and is amazing to ride bareback—very smooth and easygoing. Boris is a trail-riding machine, as comfortable as sitting on the couch cruising down the trails. Very sure-footed, he gets around like a mountain goat, going through running water, mountainous terrain, and navigating easily around prickly pear cactus. Confident alone, he can lead or follow in a group without minding his position. In the arena, Boris has a desirable jog, extended trot, and sweet, slow rocking-chair lope. He side passes, ground ties, and goes over all trail obstacles with ease, with a one-handed neck rein and easy guidance. Safe, safe, safe for any level rider, he is a great confidence builder for timid or new riders, always reassuring his rider. Boris drives good as well—standing quiet and patient while being harnessed, confident pulling a 10-foot wagon. He would look fabulous going down a hometown parade or at a wedding venue. Easy to mount and dismount, he stands still for a mounting block or will lie down with a touch of a finger so you can mount up and go. Boris loves attention—his tremendous mane will make the little girls go crazy. His ground manners are impeccable, and he is as honest as they come to ride and handle in every way. Good with other horses, he will follow you around in the pasture wanting attention and will drop his head to the ground for the littlest kiddos to halter him. We love this marvelous gelding and look forward to him getting his forever home.
